Contact usIs Northstar a bank?
No. Northstar Capital is a financial technology company. We connect to your existing business accounts to read balances and transactions, and we never hold your money in your accounts without your instruction.
How do you connect to my accounts?
Through read-only connections to your bank and tools. You sign in with your bank directly; we never see or store your bank password. Moving money always requires your explicit approval.
Can my bookkeeper or accountant use it?
Yes. Invite them for free with a bookkeeper role — read-only access to reports and transactions. They don’t count towards your seats.
What does it cost to get paid by card or ACH?
ACH is 0.8% per payment, capped at $8. Cards are 2.9% + 30¢. There are no monthly minimums, and you can choose to pass the fee on to customers.
Is there a free trial?
Starter is free forever. Growth includes a 14-day trial with every feature unlocked and no credit card required.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export everything — invoices, transactions and reports — as CSV or PDF at any time. When you close your workspace we delete your data within 30 days.
