What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you fill in the Start a project form or email us, that can include:
- Your name and, if you give it, your business name
- Your email address and, optionally, your phone number
- What you need, a description of your idea, an optional budget range and an optional deadline
- Any files or links you send us
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics cookies on this website (see our Cookie Preferences page).
How we use it
- To reply to you and talk about your project
- To prepare quotes and deliver the work you ask for
- To send invoices and keep the records the law requires
- To keep our site and our systems secure
We only email you about your enquiry or project. We won't add you to a newsletter unless you ask us to.
Who handles your information
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which receives what you type and passes it to us by email. Our website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which, like most hosts, may record technical details such as your IP address in its server logs. These providers handle data under their own privacy terms and may store it outside Canada. We do not sell your information or rent it to anyone.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or with professionals who help us run the studio (for example an accountant), who must keep it confidential.
Your work and your materials
Files, text and images you send us for a project stay yours. We use them only to do the work. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, we keep a copy of the finished work and the source files so that we can support you later.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and project records for as long as they are useful to you and us, and for as long as the law requires for accounting purposes. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, tell us and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in a region with stronger privacy laws, such as Canada or the European Union, you may have additional rights, and we will respect them. To make a request, email hello@rovardstudios.com. If you are not happy with our answer, you may also contact your local privacy regulator.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or email is completely secure. Please don't send passwords, card numbers or other highly sensitive details through the contact form.
Children
This website is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
