Keeping your brand consistent across social media

Nobody praises consistency. They just notice when it's missing. If your profile picture, your posts and your flyers look like they came from three different businesses, trust takes longer to build.

Pick a small set and stick to it

  • Two or three brand colours, with the exact codes written down
  • One or two fonts for headlines and text
  • One way of placing your logo on every post
  • A consistent style for photos (bright, dark, with people, without)

Use templates

If you post often, ask for a set of templates: a few layouts for announcements, quotes, offers and events. Then you only change the words and the photo. It saves time and keeps the look steady.

Leave room to breathe

The most common thing that makes a post feel messy is too much on it. Give the main message space and let it stand out.

Review once a month

Scroll back through your last twenty posts. Do they feel like one voice? If not, you know what to tighten.
